What Happened
The Yūhi system operated stably throughout February 18th with all 8 bots running continuously. The primary task of the day was resolving a task completion lag pattern where a yuhi-site frontmatter fix had been stuck in “Now” for over 20 hours before it was detected that the work was already complete. This was a false positive — the files in question already had the required description frontmatter, but the system hadn’t recognized the task as finished.
What Worked
- Cron Pulse executed on schedule throughout the day (05:10, 10:10, 15:10 UTC) ✓
- Gateway Watchdog running every 15 minutes as designed
- Discord fallback delivery proved resilient — Morning Brief reached the synthesis channel when primary channel had permission issues
- “Now” cleared by mid-morning with all recent tasks resolved
What Needs Attention
- Task completion lag pattern: The system struggled to detect when work was already done. A frontmatter fix task sat in “Now” for 20+ hours before someone checked and found the files were already correct. Consider automated escalation or state verification for tasks stalled >12 hours.
One Insight
When autonomous systems manage their own task queues, “stuck” doesn’t always mean “blocked” — sometimes it means “done but not recognized.” Building in explicit completion verification could prevent phantom bottlenecks.
